Post Overview: Best coffee shops in Tribeca
There is no shortage of posh coffee shops in Tribeca, at the end of the day it is New York City’s most expensive neighborhood. From the decor to the coffee itself, presentation and flavor are top-notch.
That’s why whenever I choose to work from a cafe I hop on a subway and pay the neighborhood a visit. I’ve spent countless days sitting in coffee shops in Tribeca, slowly finding the hidden gems and the best of the best.
After a close friend asked me for recommendations I opted to write this post, because I realized spots this good deserve to be shared with everyone. Although no two palettes are the same, I’m confident you’ll find it useful too.
But hey, I know we’re all eager to drink some coffee, so why don’t we get into it!

Coffee Shops in Tribeca
#15. Maman
I opted to start the list of the best coffee shops in Tribeca with Maman for one simple reason, the cafe is just as endearing as the neighborhood. The flowery decor makes it the perfect reprieve in such a busy city.
Originally started as a French bakery and cafe in SoHo, Maman quickly became the go-to spot for impeccable baked goods. This was only magnified when Oprah listed their nutty chocolate chip cookie as one of her Favorite Things.
I never miss an opportunity to order the quiche, chocolate croissant or their famous macadamia nut cookie. And don’t underestimate their brews, this is one of the best coffee shops in Tribeca.
Maman isn’t the best coffee shop in Tribeca to work on a laptop or read a book because it’s too lively. Rather this is the type of cafe to meet up with friends for a coffee date and light brunch.
Address: 211 W Broadway, New York, NY 10013

#14. Blue Bottle Coffee
Blue Bottle Coffee hails from San Francisco, a city well respected for its mastery of coffee. However that doesn’t stop it from being one of the most delicious coffee shops in Tribeca, too.
Specializing in pour-overs, Blue Bottle Coffee has mastered every drink you can think of. From foamy lattes, airy cappuccinos, vibrant iced Americanos, everything is exceptional. It’s simply one of the best coffee shops in Tribeca!
The atmosphere is minimalist and clean. You’ll notice patrons at the few outside tables as folks queue up inside. Plus, this is one of the larger Blue Bottle Coffee shops in the city so it’s easy to hang around for a few hours.
Location: 408 Greenwich St, New York, NY 10013
#13. 787 Coffee
Not only is 787 one of the most delicious coffee shops in Tribeca, it’s one of the most charming too. The vibrant yellow tables and chairs make it the perfect place to start a sunny day.
Between the energizing vibe and caffeine I always leave feeling ready to run through a brick wall. (Don’t worry, I won’t be desecrating any buildings in the neighborhood).
I especially love the purpose-driven mission of this charming Tribeca cafe, which is to provide a farm to cup coffee experience while supporting the local community.
The goal is to grow coffee in a sustainable manner (at 787’s coffee plantation in Puerto Rico) and offer livable wages to the locals they hire. It’s a beautiful thing and the end result is exceptional – one of the best coffee shops in Tribeca!
Address: 93 Worth St, New York, NY 10013
#12. Bluestone Lane
Bluestone Lane is best known for colorful and healthy brunch, but their coffee is worth a trip alone. Always full of lively people, it’s one of my favorite coffee shops in Tribeca when I’m meeting with friends.
The cafe is sun-drenched thanks to floor to ceiling windows that line the outside walls (I’m pretty sure I left here with a tan once). It’s hard not to feel like you’re on an Australian beach while enjoying your cup of joe.
Having to wait in line is practically guaranteed during the weekends, but the colorful Aussie brunch menu is worth the wait. Their coffee is half the draw, which is why I consider this one of the best coffee shops in Tribeca.
Address: 109 W Broadway, New York, NY 10013

#11. Hungry Ghost Coffee
Hungry Ghost came to grace us as one of the best coffee shops in Tribeca by way of Turkish founder Murat Uyaroglu. Recently celebrating their 10 year anniversary, it’s safe to say the locals love them.
Serving exceptional Stumptown coffee, Hungry Ghost draws a constant stream of folks seeking a quick, convenient and quality cup of joe. Plus, the staff is so friendly it’s not uncommon to see them interacting with their guests like old friends.
In terms of cozy Tribeca coffee shops it doesn’t get more charming than the Hungry Ghost. There’s a minimalistic and clean aesthetic, and there are arches that make me weak in the knees.
“I saw the game changing, coffee started being treated like wine; it’s special. It’s important where you get it, how you roast it, how you brew it.”
MURAT UYAROGLU, THE BRIDGE BROOKLYN BUSINESS NEWS
Address: 165 Church St, New York, NY 10007

#10. Laughing Man Cafe
Laughing Man Cafe is one of the handful of coffee shops in Tribeca where you don’t feel bad spending your money. This is because the proceeds of your coffee sale go to a charitable cause.
The coffee company started back in 2011 and is owned by actor Hugh Jackman. Jackman made it a personal mission to support coffee farming communities. So much so, he dedicates a portion of the company’s proceeds to programs to help build a sustainable life for farmers and their families.
Although Laughing Man Coffee has two locations, their Tribeca coffee shop is special because it also sells a plethora of vegan treats. As if this cafe needed any more reasons to be considered righteous!
Grabbing a cup of coffee and trying anything off the vegan menu is one of the best things to do (and you can leave feeling good about it).
Address: 184 Duane St, New York, NY 10013
#9. Interlude Coffee & Tea
Interlude makes expertly crafted drinks that really emphasize smooth, gentle flavors, thats why they’re one of the best coffee shops in Tribeca.
In the same way a mixologist sets themselves apart from casual bartender, Interlude sets itself apart from regular cafes. Every sip is a reminder that your drink was made with attention to detail, rather than mass produced.
And for all my fellow matcha drinkers, this is one of my go to coffee shops in Tribeca. They use a ceremonial grade matcha, which is made using the youngest leaves which are have higher concentrations of clorophyll.
The best part is it feels like a regular coffee shop. There’s no pretentious coffee snobs, just friendly staff that take pride in their work. The cafe itself is cozy, big enough to sit down for a minute but not enough to linger.
Address: 145 Hudson St, New York, NY 10013
#8. Caffe Bene
At first glass you wouldn’t assume Caffe Bene is one of the best coffee shops in Tribeca. The joint is unassuming and simple, yet the flavors pack a punch.
A simple bacon egg and cheese bagel tastes amazing from Caffe Bene, and the coffee speaks for itself. There really isn’t anything flashy on the menu, everything is just made really well.
If you’re in rush in the morning I’d suggest paying a visit to the other coffee shops in Tribeca, since Caffe Bene can get busy during the breakfast rush hour. However, if you have time or are visiting after breakfast it’s well worth the visit.
Address: 378 Canal St, New York, NY 10013
#7. Jack’s Stir Brew Coffee
As New York City’s first 100% organic cafe, Jack’s Stir Brew has an impressive base of loyal customers who have kept themthriving for 20 years. Boasting two Tribeca coffee shops, getting great coffee just got easier!
The success of the business isn’t only due to it’s moral stance though, the coffee is damn good too. Founder Jack Mazzola came up with a simple yet innovative technique for brewing coffee – stirring the grounds (hence the name).
Opposite of traditional ways of making coffee where hot water is simply poured over ground beans, the steady stirring maximizes flavor. The science is irrefutable, Jack’s Stir Brew is one of the best coffee shops in Tribeca.
One location is inside the Roxy Hotel and the other is on Reade Street but both Tribeca coffee shops are sure to leave you impressed.
Address: 139 Reade St, New York, NY 10013 & 2 6th Ave, New York, NY 10013

#6. Five & Dime
Coffee and cocktails? I volunteer as tribute! As if the drinks weren’t enough, Five & Dime is one of the best coffee shops in Tribeca thanks to its chic 1920’s decor that oozes old school vibes.
The aesthetic is attributed to the fact the cafe is located inside the Woolworth Building. For those that don’t know, the Woolworth Building was the tallest building in the world from 1913 to 1920, when it was dethroned by the Empire State Building.
There’s plenty of seating, so if you arrive in the morning you’re welcome to work or study. If you stay into the afternoon though the drinks can turn into alcoholic beverages, and at that point who knows how productive you’ll be.
If you’re looking for a recommendation I suggest the arctic macchiato, which is made with a double shot of espresso, a teeny bit of vanilla syrup, and oat milk shaken and strained into ice.
Address: 8 Park Pl, Tribeca, NY 10007
5. La Colombe Coffee Roasters
La Colombe is one of the best coffee shops in Tribeca guaranteed to satisfy all your caffeinated cravings. With an array of coffees, teas and treats, La Colombe takes it one step further and offers speciality drinks on-tap.
There’s currently a Peppermint Mocha Latte on tap, and if you are a fan of the season you’re not going to want to miss out.
This is also one of my favorite Tribeca coffee shops to get some work done. There’s plenty of small, 2 person tables perfect for a laptop. Slap on some headphones and type away, just be sure to have a delicous cup of coffee to keep you motivated.
Address: 319 Church St, New York, NY 10013

#4. Two Hands
If you’re looking for the best Tribeca coffee shops to have brunch at you need to sprint to Two Hands. I’m talking to knees to chest folks, you need to get there ASAP because the lines can get long, especially on the weekends.
The popularity of Two Hands is well deserved too, it’s a local hot-spot thanks to its incredible menu. The lemon poppy seed waffles? Instant paradise. The banana walnut bread? Heaven. On. Earth! (I love carbs, don’t judge me).
But alas, you’re in search of the best coffee shops in Tribeca and Two Hands is no slouch in that category. The classic coffee menu pairs beautifully with brunch regardless of what you order.
Address: 251 Church St, New York, NY 10013
#3. Gotan
One of the best coffee shops in Tribeca is Gotan, and I feel it’s still a bit of a hidden gem. Finding a seat is usually easy, and it’s not uncommon for folks to hang out for hours because the atmosphere is so relaxed.
As one of the bigger coffee shops in Tribeca there’s plenty of space to spread out and get comfortable on their communal tables. The shop is frequently littered with locals clicking away on laptops or reading books.
There are seasonal snacks to keep your belly full while visiting, and of course some of the best coffee in Tribeca. Serving Counter Culture Coffee (who publishes annual sustainability reports), Gotan has shown a commitment to quality both in their kitchen and in their partnerships.
Address: 130 Franklin St, New York, NY 10013

#2. Blue Spoon Coffee Company
Another hidden gem is Blue Spoon Coffee. As one of the best coffee shops in Tribeca, this cafe has your typical cafe drinks but what really sets them apart are their infused drinks.
My go-to order is the iced raspberry mocha, which is unconventional but fun. Every once in a while it’s nice to treat yourself to something out of the ordinary and Blue Spoon Coffee Company fits the bill.
The Tribeca cafe has plenty of breakfast and lunch options (sandwiches, wraps, paninis) that are quick and convenient. So whether you’re here on a lunch break or just looking for something to quell a rumbling stomach, rest assured you’re at one of the best coffee shops in Tribeca.
Address: 76 Chambers St, New York, NY 10007
#1. Kaffe Landskap
The best coffee shop in Tribeca is Kaffe Landskap, and I have no qualms about it. The cafe has a bit of a rustic feel to it, which makes sense because it’s a Scandinavian company, which makes it all the more cozy and warm.
It never feels crowded and the sizeable wooden tables make it easy to set up your laptop for a work day. Plus, Kaffe Landskap has two coffee shops in Tribeca within walking distance so if one is full, just head to the other!
The cafe roasts its own coffee beans in Red Hook, Brooklyn so the drinks are always bold and rich in flavor. And since Kaffe Landskap partners with Collaborative Coffee Source you can rest assured your cup of joe was ethically sourced and imported.
The Tribeca cafe also sells smoothies, juices, soups, salads, and sandwiches. This all in conjunction with traditional coffee shop pastries, of course. 😉
Address: 401 Greenwich St, New York, NY 10013 & 275 Greenwich St, New York, NY 10007
