This list of the best brunch in the Financial District was written by Alejandro Beltran, co-founder of New York Simply (an official partner of Apple Maps) and a NYC local.
The Financial District is the economic heart of America. On any given day, thousands of determined business folks are scurrying around, and mobs of tourists are taking in the sights. The only time the neighborhood mellows out is during brunch, so in this guide, I’ll tell you where to find the best brunch in the Financial District (from my first-hand local experience). Let’s jump in!

Best Brunch in the Financial District

Table of Contents: Best Brunch FiDi
Hole In The Wall
Website: Hole In The Wall
Address: 15 Cliff St, New York, NY 10038
Brunch hours: Daily, 9 AM – 4 PM
Bright and offering curated dishes, the menu at Hole In The Wall rotates with the seasons to keep their ingredients fresh and of optimal quality. With that said, the Australian eatery provides classic, knock-out brunch fare.
Take the avocado smash, for example, which takes traditional avocado toast up a notch by adding cherry tomatoes, pickled onions, beets, and pumpkin seeds. Hole In The Wall is also a great brunch joint in FiDi for innovative cocktails. Some standouts are the Brazilian Sunrise (rum, shochu, passionfruit, grapefruit juice, prosecco) and the Paloma Royale (tequila, lime, grapefruit juice, agave, prosecco).
Pearl Diner
Website: Pearl Diner
Address: 212 Pearl St, New York, NY 10038
Brunch hours: All day, everyday
On the corner of Pearl and Fletcher, you can find the Pearl Diner, one of the best, longstanding spots for brunch in FiDi. Having opened its doors in the 1960s, Pearl Diner is one of the last stand-alone diners in New York City.
The typical diner fare, like blueberry pancakes, breakfast burritos, waffles, etc., has kept locals returning for 70 years! Pearl Diner is also one of the most affordable brunch spots in FiDi. Most meals cost less than $20 (with a cup of coffee included!).
Westville (Wall Street)
Website: Westville Wall Street
Address: 110 Wall St, New York, NY 10005
Brunch hours: Saturday & Sunday, 10 AM – 4 PM
Those looking for the healthiest brunch in the Financial District should have Westville at the top of their list. Westville’s menu is made up of options for people with all sorts of dietary restrictions. Vegans, vegetarians, and folks who enjoy eating out (but still want to eat clean) are all welcome.
However, that’s not to say the brunch destination is entirely vegan; they still serve meats, including chicken and shrimp. I recommend ordering the California Benedict, which is eggs Benedict but with hash browns instead of English muffins. The simple swap changes the entire meal and takes it up a notch.
Fraunces Tavern
Website: Fraunces Tavern
Address: 54 Pearl St, New York, NY 10004
Brunch hours: Saturday & Sunday, 11:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Fraunces Tavern is as iconic and historical as it gets; this is the bar where George Washington bid an emotional farewell to his commanding officers after the Revolutionary War! No other brunch spot in FiDi shares the same level of history.
You can anticipate classic dishes like French toast and eggs Benedict; however, this FiDi brunch spot shines with the pub-style brunch fare. I’m talking lobster mac’n’cheese, chicken wings, and chipotle bison burgers, to name a few.
Local’s Tip: Head upstairs to the tavern’s museum, showing what the historic brunch destination would have looked like around the time America was founded.
The Fulton by Jean-Georges
Website: The Fulton by Jean-Georges
Address: 89 South St, New York, NY 10038
Brunch hours: Saturday & Sunday, 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM
One of the best brunch spots in FiDi for waterfront dining is The Fulton by Jean-Georges, the same chef behind Two Michelin Star restaurant Jean-Georges. The jaw-dropping views of the Brooklyn Bridge and DUMBO make any meal a memorable one.
There are floor-to-ceiling windows that help it stay open regardless of the season or weather. The menu is made up of a modern take on American seafood. Not only does the food taste incredible, but the looks alone will have your mouth watering. Add a little wine, and there’s no better spot to enjoy brunch in the Financial District.
Malibu Farm
Website: Malibu Farm
Address: 89 South St, New York, NY 10038
Brunch hours: Saturday & Sunday, 11 AM – 3 PM
Next to The Fulton on Pier 17 is Malibu Farm, another excellent spot for brunch in FiDi. Whereas The Fulton is upscale and elegant, I’d say Malibu Farm is more casual. Part of a chain of restaurants that stem from Malibu, California, you can almost feel the relaxed, sunny atmosphere.
The food has a farm-to-table approach, and each plate is colorful and savory. All the plates are reminiscent of hearty meals. A non-negotiable dish for me is the hot skillet of coconut French toast. It’s fluffy pieces of brioche toast served with warm maple syrup, whipped cream, and a seasonal compote.
George’s Restaurant
Website: George’s Restaurant
Address: 89 Greenwich St, New York, NY 10006
Brunch hours: All day, everyday
George’s Restaurant is located in the heart of the Financial District and is one of the best diners to grab brunch in FiDi. The reason I’m adding George’s to our list of best brunch spots in the Financial District is due to the convenience, no-frills meals, and history.
First, they serve breakfast food all day—no need to set an alarm and fight tooth and nail for a weekend table. Secondly, the portions are huge, and most dishes cost $10-$16! This FiDi brunch spot is perfect for groups, specifically after a night of drinking (don’t ask me why I know that).
Broadstone Bar & Kitchen
Website: Broadstone Bar & Kitchen
Address: 88 Broad St, New York, NY 10004
Brunch hours: Saturday & Sunday, 11:30 AM – 5 PM
For less than $30 (and the purchase of an entree), Broadstone Bar & Kitchen guests will receive unlimited brunch drinks for 90 minutes. Options like strawberry Bellinis, mimosas, and even a Broadstone lager are up for grabs during the popular bottomless brunch in FiDi.
This is also one of the best late-running brunch spots, with the brunch special running until 5:00 PM. There is no rush (or judgment) in ordering French toast at 3 PM on Sundays. I always recommend the brunch burger and the Broadstone spicy Bloody Mary (it is spicy).
Harry’s
Website: Harry’s
Address: 1 Hanover Square, New York, NY 10004
Brunch hours: Sunday, 11:30 AM – 5 PM
Those looking for a fancy brunch in the Financial District to impress a date need look no further than Harry’s. The steakhouse has entrees between $24 and $68, and it’s another solid bottomless brunch spot in FiDi.
Every Sunday, Harry’s offers a champagne brunch special. With the purchase of an entree, guests can enjoy 90 minutes of complimentary champagne with their meal. It isn’t cheap, rather it’s a tremendous value. It’s a spot where you can dress up and celebrate a special occasion without (overly) breaking the bank.
Toro Loco
Website: Toro Loco
Address: 15 Stone St, New York, NY 10004
Brunch hours: Saturday & Sunday, 11:30 AM – 5 PM
In the spirit of keeping the bottomless brunch in FiDi train going, the next spot for a killer deal is Toro Loco. Located on Stone Street, this Mexican eatery draws crowds thanks to the $30 bottomless brunch special. For 90 minutes, customers can feast on delicious classic American and Mexican-style dishes with a constant flow of unlimited brunch cocktails.
Of course, they offer the classic mimosa but also have frozen margaritas, bloody Mary’s, or Micheladas. The only catch is that the whole table must participate. And, if you stumble upon Toro Loco for Sunday brunch, come prepared because they host a drag show at 12:30 and 3 PM.
La Parisienne
Website: La Parisienne
Address: 9 Maiden Ln, New York, NY 10038
Brunch hours: Daily until 4 PM
If you’ve ever visited France, you’ll feel at home in La Parisienne. The FiDi brunch destination is owned and operated by a French couple and curates a vibe reminiscent of Paris’s shoebox-sized cafes. The menu consists of a small array of breakfast staples like ham & cheese croissants, french toast, and various “croque” plates.
Each meal has fresh ingredients that translate to colorful and vibrant dishes, and the service is friendly and quick. However, this isn’t the type of brunch restaurant in FiDi for extended stays chatting over coffee. Since the seating is minimal, La Parisienne asks folks to be mindful of the need to seat more patrons and only linger for a short time after enjoying their meals.
The Paris Cafe
Website: The Paris Cafe
Address: 119 South Street, 119 Peck Slip, New York, NY 10038
Brunch hours: Saturday & Sunday, 12 – 4 PM
The Paris Cafe is one of New York City’s oldest establishments, having opened up shop 150 years ago in 1873. Thomas Edison, Teddy Roosevelt, and Bob Dylan have all been patrons of the Financial District brunch hot-spot.
The menu is small and has classic dishes like avocado toast, pancakes, and eggs benedict (I wonder what Roosevelt ordered?). Even some breakfast cocktails are available for those who’d like to partake.
Industry Kitchen
Website: Industry Kitchen
Address: 70 South St, New York, NY 10005
Brunch hours: Saturday & Sunday, 11 AM – 4 PM
Industry Kitchen is a waterfront restaurant that’s both modern and chic and offers unobstructed views of the East River. Regarding the cuisine, the variety covers the gamut at Industry Kitchen. There are all sorts of dishes, from strawberry shortcake waffles and grilled pinwheel sausages to lobster omelets and wood-fired pizzas.
This FiDi brunch joint checks all the boxes as far as meeting spaces go. You can meet with friends for a drink, link up with a date, or treat the in-laws to a relaxing weekend brunch. Like me, half of the city considers Industry Kitchen some of the best brunch in FiDi. Make reservations in advance to avoid a guaranteed wait.
The Malt House
Website: The Malt House
Address: 9 Maiden Ln, New York, NY 10038
Brunch hours: Saturday & Sunday, 11 AM – 4 PM
Serving craft beers, creative cocktails, and delicious brunch fare, The Malt House is a prime destination for a boozy brunch in the Financial District. With the purchase of a brunch entree, guests can enjoy 90 minutes of bottomless brunch cocktails.
There are the standard mimosas and sangrias, but there are a few unique drinks like the maltmosa, made with wheat beer, champagne, and orange juice. The dishes are solid, but ultimately, the bottomless drinks are why locals keep coming back for more.
Cowgirl SeaHorse
Website: Cowgirl SeaHorse
Address: 259 Front St, New York, NY 10038
Brunch hours: Saturday & Sunday, 11 AM – 4 PM
A hodgepodge of different cuisines, Cowgirl Seahorse blends the flavors of Tex-Mex, Gulf Coast seafood, and southern-styled restaurants. Fish tacos, chicken & waffles and gravy & eggs make this a can’t miss FiDi brunch restaurant. They have one of the biggest brunch menus in FiDi!
Furthermore, the decorations and charm of the restaurant set the tone from the second you walk in. Call it Southern hospitality, but the staff is welcoming. I’ve never had a bad experience at Cowgirl Seahorse (and I’ve visited nearly a dozen times!).
